As Wasps flanker Tom Rees returns to action following a knee injury, David Hands of The Times believes all he has to do is stay fit for an extended period so that he can exert the influence that so many believe he can for his club and country.

At that time a troop of experienced players, led by Rob Andrew, headed north to begin the professional era with Newcastle Falcons and Lawrence Dallaglio, a young back-row forward, became captain and headed the drive into the most successful decade of the club's history.
