Jonathan Thomas' Ospreys days numbered?
Veteran Ospreys back-rower Jonathan Thomas is reportedly wanted by clubs both in the Top 14 and the Aviva Premiership.
Thomas has a year left on his current deal but according to reports in the South Wales Evening Post, both Stade Francais and Bayonne are keen on the flanker's services and the Ospreys could let him leave.

Scarlets close in on John Barclay
Reports in the Welsh press claim the Scarlets are keen on recruiting Glasgow Warriors flanker John Barclay ahead of next season. If the move goes through, Barclay will bring a wealth of experience to their back-row.

Ferris poised for Japan switch?
Ulster and Ireland flanker Stephen Ferris has been linked with a move to Japan.
The 27-year-old, currently sidelined with an ankle injury, is out of contract with the Irish Rugby Football Union at the end of the season and while he is understood to have been offered a new 'pay as you play' deal, he is reportedly poised to reject this in favour of a more lucrative offer from the Far East.
The Irish Independent reports that sources close to the deal say that a Japanese move has become a "viable option" and, while the deal is not yet finalised, "the likelihood is that the flanker will leave his home province after eight seasons of senior rugby".

Scarlets to lure Delve home?
PRO12 side Scarlets are reportedly hoping to sign Wales international Gareth Delve from Super Rugby outfit the Melbourne Rebels.
The 30-year-old back-row, voted the Rebels' fans' player of the season in each of his two seasons in Australia, is contracted until the end of the current Super Rugby season with a return to the northern hemisphere likely to boost his chances of reigniting his international career.

Perpignan line up Tommaso Benvenuti?
Perpignan have reportedly lined up Italian winger Treviso's Tommaso Benvenuti ahead of next season. L'Independant claims that the Top 14 club see him as a replacement for Adrien Plante who is on the verge of switching to Racing Metro.

Scarlets to cash in on North?
The Scarlets could be willing to cash-in on Wales winger George North, reports the Rugby Paper.
North has 18 months left on his contract and has long been linked with a lucrative move to France. But the Scarlets are now said to be considering letting the giant winger go in order to bolster revenue.

Toulon to move for Munster prop?
According to reports in L'Equipe, Toulon are keen on adding Munster prop BJ Botha to their burgeoning front-row resources. The Top 14 big-spenders are reportedly close to agreeing a deal for Leicester's Martin Castrogiovanni and also appear to be keen on securing Botha.

Kahn Fotuali'i a wanted man
A host of Europe's leading clubs are reportedly chasing the signature of highly-rated Ospreys scrum-half Kahn Fotuali'i.
The Samoan international is out of contract with the region at the end of this season with The Rugby Paper reporting that the 30-year-old has attracted interest from Premiership sides Saracens, Northampton and Bath, Irish province Munster and French clubs Toulouse, Racing Metro and Castres. But the Ospreys are also hopeful of agreeing a new deal with the in-form No.9 who joined them from the Crusaders two years ago.

Shingler lines up Scarlets return
London Irish's Steve Shingler is set to return to the Scarlets, according to the South Wales Evening Post. The fly-half has spent the past two seasons at the Exiles, before which he played for the Scarlets, but according to the news paper, he has agreed to return to Wales.

Cardiff Blues trailing Rees?
According to reports in the South Wales Evening Post, the Cardiff Blues are interested in Scarlets and Wales hooker Matthew Rees. The newspaper claims that "plans for a Blues swoop for the ex-Pontypridd man are well advanced". The Blues have already lost out in their bid to keep British & Irish Lion Jamie Roberts at the club but may now use some of those funds to tempt Rees to ditch the Scarlets for one of their PRO12 rivals.

Elwood to leave Connacht?
Reports in the Irish press suggest that coach Eric Elwood is set to turn his back on Connacht at the end of the season. Elwood has spent 24 years at the province in both a player and coach capacity and has reportedly taken the decision to step away from the side due to family reasons.

Ulster close in on Caulfield
Reports on BBC Sport claim that Ulster are close to agreeing a three-year deal for former Bristol and London Irish prop Jake Caulfield. He has impressed while on trial at the RaboDirect PRO12 side and reports claim that he will be awarded a new contract.

Scarlets closing in on new lock
Reports in the Welsh press suggest that the Scarlets are on the verge of agreeing a deal to sign young Australian lock Jake Ball. Ball turned out in Super Rugby last term for the Western Force and at at 6ft 7in and 19st will bring a physical presence to the side.

Zebre bring in Belfast-born prop
Reports suggest that Zebre have bolstered their front-row resources with ex-Leeds and Edinburgh prop Dave Young ahead of next season. He is believed to be on a dual-registration deal with Lazio and will turn out in the RaboDirect PRO12 for the new side.

Zebre bolster ranks with Italian hooker
RaboDirect PRO12 new-boys Zebre have announced the signing of 53-cap hooker Carlo Festuccia on a two-year deal. Festuccia said: "I'm very happy I'll continue to play my rugby in Parma, a city I'm very grateful to both from sport and personal point of view.
"I can't wait to play in the RaboDirect PRO12 and Heineken Cup again."

Henson to the Scarlets?
ESPNscrum are hearing reports that Parc Y Scarlets could be Gavin Henson's next port of call. Whether he ends up at the Scarlets or not, it is surely beyond 'last chance saloon' for the hugely talented but flawed back. It would be a big gamble from new Scarlets boss Simon Easterby to take on Henson but the game would be better off if he can re-find his form and find some solace at a new side.

Fitzgerald linked with France move
Following news that Luke Fitzgerald's contract talks have broken down the IRFU, reports in the press suggest that teams in both France and England are keen on recruiting the British & Irish Lion. One potential stumbling block could be Fitzgerald's current fitness with the winger ruled out until 2013.

Scarlets set to bolster ranks
The Scarlets are reportedly lining up former All Blacks lock Jason Eaton in an attempt to bolster their options in the second-row. With Dom Day, Lou Reed and Damian Welch all moving on from the Parc y Scarlets at the end of the season, the Scarlets are in dire need of adding to their options. According to the South Wales Evening Post, Eaton is been lined up alongside fellow ex-All Black front-row Campbell Johnstone.

O'Connor to make emotional return?
With Ian Humphreys having departed for London Irish and Connacht recruiting Dan Parkes, reports in Ireland are linking Niall O'Connor with a switch back to Ulster. The fly-half departed from Ravenhill last summer but with Ulster potentially a half-back short, he may decide to return to the Heineken Cup finalists.
