Thomson is currently out of the international reckoning and Hurricanes boss Jamie Joseph expects the flanker to be playing abroad next season. "Adam hasn't committed to New Zealand rugby so it's difficult to select him. That indicates he's heading overseas," Joseph said. "He's been a great servant and he will be sorely missed." Wilkinson's contract is up at the end of the year and he looks set to either remain at Toulon or hang up his boots. Reports in the French press say that Wilkinson will make a decision in December. Laporte told the BBC that they were "not in the market" for another centre with the likes of Maxime Mermoz, Mathieu Bastareaud, Matt Giteau and Geoffroy Messina on their books. Nonu turned out for the Blues in the 2012 Super Rugby season and has cited family reasons for the move though the contract is yet to be agreed. Blues coach John Kirwan hit out at Nonu's decision saying: "I am obviously disappointed. The north-west club are struggling at the bottom of the Aviva Premiership and recently sacked forwards' coach Steve Scott. The Sunday Times claims that Mitchell, who is currently embroiled in a legal wrangle after being sacked by the South African side The Lions, is on Sale's radar and quote 'one of Sale's international contingent' as saying, "We've heard about John's approach, now we'll have to see for ourselves."
